Dyed Hair Care Tips

Changing your hair color can be fun, but it does require some extra care. According to Virtual Hair Care, the type of shampoo and conditioner you use will play a big role in how your hair will look. This is also true for highlighted hair. Proper maintenance is important for any type of hair, but it’s especially important for colored hair if you want the color to last.

To make hair dye last longer, rinse your hair in vinegar immediately after dyeing. This raises the PH level of the hair styles. Another trick is to add two tablespoons (more or less depending on your hair length) of hair dye color to your regular conditioner after each shampoo. Leave it on three to five minutes and rinse it with warm water. This replenishes the color that was washed out. Condition after every shampoo! Use a conditioner for damaged or color-treated hair.
