Epsom Salt Skin Benefits

Epsom salt, or magnesium sulfate, is a natural product that is often used for soaking sore muscles. It also has many other uses, ranging from fertilizing and controlling pests on garden flowers to soothing mosquito bites. Since the magnesium and sulfur that are the main chemical components of Epsom salt efficiently and gently remove dead layers of skin that block pores and cause blemishes, washing your face and body with the salt can be highly effective. You can use Epsom salt with bath oil, petroleum jelly or cleansing cream to get the benefits of this natural product.

A Cleanser. Mix together 1/2 tablespoons of Epsom salt to your daily cleansing cream. Massage it to your face and the area that has acne. Remember, that a very gentle massage is to be given to the area that has acne. Not doing so might spread the infection to the nearby area. After you have massaged your face with this mixture, wash your face with cold water and pat dry.

Exfoliating with Epsom salt To exfoliate skin mix a one teaspoon of Epsom salt (or according to your need) with your regular cleansing cream or in milk cream and gently massage into skin and rinse with plain water. It helps you to get rid of dead skin and reveal the soft youthful looking skin.

Epsom salt beauty mask. Add one teaspoon of Epsom salt in some milk or honey and apply it to your face for 15-20 min, then wash with water. It helps to get rid of dead skin and makes it more glowing.

Scrub. Add a tablespoon of Epsom salt to oatmeal and use this to scrub the areas that are affected by acne. Wash your face thoroughly and apply moisturizer after patting your face dry.

Smooth Skin. Wet your skin and start massaging with a handful of Epsom salt from your feet to your face. Add 2 more cups of it into your bathtub with a few drops of essential oil. Lean back and just relax. Your skin will feel softer.
