Lets hit the bottle of bleach hard and turn our locks of hair into that beautiful shade of all shades, the ethereal platinum blonde.Of course you can do this at home with powdered bleach but to be safe I recommend seeing your stylist. If you just have to take matters into your own hands and do it yourself at home then here are some suggestions to achieve that perfect color:
Mix the bleach
Mix equal parts powdered bleach (such as Wella Blondor or Clairol Basic White) and developer until it reaches a creamy consistency. Those with light-colored hair should use 20-volume developer. For darker hair use 30-volume developer.
Apply the bleach
Beginning in the nape area, apply bleach mixture with a brush from the ends to the mid-shaft. Continue working from the back of the head to the front. Now go back and apply the bleach mixture to the root area until all of the hair is coated with the bleach.
Processing time
Allow the bleach to remain on for the recommended amount of time, carefully following the package directions. Every brand and desired color result has different processing times. Rinse off the bleach using warm water until the water runs clear in color. You can do this in the shower or at a sink.
Shampoo thoroughly
Shampoo with a gentle shampoo to remove the bleach from your hair. If desired, rinse with lemon juice or white vinegar to neutralize any remaining bleach residue that left on your hair.
