Cuticles are an integral part of our body in a way that they protect the base of a human nail as well as fingers. They not only prevent our body form the attack of germs and bacteria, but they also resist the growth of yeast and fungus on our body. No one in the world like having rugged cuticles as it makes our nails and in turn our hands look rough, ugly and unkempt. The cause of these cracked cuticles is often the long exposure to certain harsh chemicals or lack of moisture. These painful looking and damaged cuticles give an unattractive look to your hands and they are very unhealthy. Hence it is needed to take daily care of these cuticles in order to prevent them from any damage.
Moisturize your cuticles by applying a hand cream, lotion or oil and rubbing it into the cuticle. The delicate skin on your hands needs moisturizing daily. Keep a hand moisturizer with you to use several times daily.
Use a sharp cuticle clipper to trim any remaining hangnails. Make sure that this tool cuts cleanly. Wipe the nail clean with a cotton ball and moisturize again.
