Maintaining a Healthy Weight. This is true, when a person experiences dramatic weight loss, hair loss is imminent. In this case, nutrients in the body go through a dramatic change, which leads to stress. This stress is hard on the body but also on hair. Although there are certain medications that can cause quick weight loss, usually it comes from harsh or fad diets. To maintain a healthy weight, a person should avoid diets that are either too high or low in fruits, vegetables, and protein.
No stress. Stress is one of the factors that can interfere with hair health. Stress leads to breakage, dryness and hair fall. Try to control the levels of stress in your life, if you are planning on enjoying long and beautiful hair.
Scalp massage. Hair gets the nutrient that it needs from the circulatory system. You can improve scalp circulation through massage. Use your fingertips to gently rub the scalp by moving your fingertips in small circles. You can also massage your scalp when applying shampoo and conditioners.
Minimize Breakage. Never wear rubber bands, because they can pull your hair out when you remove them. Also, do not use hair ornaments that have rough or sharp edges, or Velcro closers.Do not wear your hair in hairstyles that pulls the hair too tightly, such as tight braids or ponytails.Be extremely gentle and careful with your hair when it is wet. Do not rub hair roughly with a towel and always use a wide-tooth comb to smooth out tangles.
Apply a light oil (olive, avacado,sweet almond etc) sparingly. This may be used on your hair after applying a water-based moisturizer in order to seal moisture into the hair shaft and give your hair a nice natural shine.
